It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nedra A. Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Nedra passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 77 years old.
Nedra was born on Friday, February 27, 1948, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Wilbur Offutt and Hilda (Bibb) Offutt.
A dedicated and skilled secretary, Nedra was well-respected by her colleagues and left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She spent her entire life contributing to the community she deeply cherished. Nedra's passions in life included listening to music, tending to her yard, and the satisfying ritual of burning leaves. She enjoyed drinking coffee and Pepsi with the same enthusiasm she brought to her love for playing cards with friends and family. Nedra was known best for her famous roast, a dish that will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of enjoying it. Her Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life
