Linda O'Neill, 86, of Centralia, Illinois, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Helia Healthcare of Salem, at the age of 86. She was Born on December 29, 1938, in Charleston, Illinois, Linda was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her community.
A proud veteran, Linda served in the United States Navy, embodying the principles of service and sacrifice. Her commitment to her fellow veterans and community was evident through her active involvement in numerous organizations, including the Centralia Moose, Disabled American Veterans, V.F.W., and the American Legion. She cherished her roles as a waitresses at the V.F.W., a bartender at the American Legion, in the Color Guard, and a former Chaplain of the DAV. She worked for numerous years at Murray center as a supervisor. It was a job she loved and was proud of.
